Lil Wayne Announces “Tha Carter V” Release Date & Shares Pre-Order Link
Lil Wayne Tha Carter V. Lil Wayne dropped a huge announcement yesterday evening during which he disclosed the release date for his highly anticipated Tha Carter V album. It’s been more than four years since Carter V was promised to us. At some point, the album was in the hands of Martin Shkreli and it seemed it would never see daylight. Afterwards, Cash Money was the hurdle as Birdman consistently hindered the release of the much-anticipated album. After 5 years and so many challenges, we’ve got a release date and Carter V is coming sooner than you know.
Lil Wayne Tha Carter V Gets A Release Date
At 5 PM (EST) yesterday, Weezy shared a link to his website, which features a countdown to when the album will be released. From the looks of things, the album cover has changed from what he teased weeks ago. There’s still no word on a confirmed tracklist from the man himself but we’re good with this news for now.
Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V will be released on September 27 at midnight. The interesting thing about this date is that it also happejs to be the release date for Kanye West’s Yandhi. However, it’s Tunechi’s birthday so it actually makes total sense. Lil Wayne also shared a pre-order link on the website alongside physical versions of the project. If you’re a diehard fan, you can even cop a promotional t-shirt.
It’s finally official. After years of waiting, we’re getting C5 and it feels so unreal. The countdown has started, don’t forget to get your pre-order here.
